Applications are now open for the Quadrant Chambers Virtual Speed Moot, taking place on Monday 30th October.

The competition will be individual, with each participant preparing both sides of a short moot problem based on contract law, and 7 minutes allowed per participant per round with a total of 6 rounds for the most successful mooters. Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, up to a maximum of 64 spaces. There is a limit of 6 accepted applications taken from each institution. Last year places went within 1-2 days.

The moot problem and full instructions will be provided by 4:30pm on Friday 27th October 2023. We anticipate preparation of about half a day will be needed but with no additional research being necessary. The moots will be judged by Members of Quadrant, and mooters will be given feedback on their performance.

The evening will also feature workshops and talks covering pupillage, life at Quadrant and the commercial bar, and other relevant topics.

Eligibility: The event is open to any students who are thinking of applying for pupillage in Feb 2024 for the 2025 pupillage round. (subject to competition rules)

Prize: First prize is a £150 Amazon voucher, second prize is £75 Amazon voucher.
